It’s tempting to call this a summer house because of the airy flow, the light décor and a sun drenched patio; but there’s also a cosy fireplace, plenty of heating and a sheltered covered patio for ‘other weather’ escapes.
The house is furnished with elegant pieces but the big white lazy couches undress the formality and beckon you to kick your feet up. The living, dining and kitchen are open plan and flow out to both the north facing patio at the pool, and the sheltered south facing patio, setting the scene for an easy melodiousness of family and friend chatter as food is prepared and shared with enjoyment.
The neighbourhood is intermit, friendly, safe and a stone’s throw from the famous and picturesque Hermanus Golf Course. Here you can enjoy a game of golf or frequent the popular restaurant and enjoy sundowners while overlooking the greens.
Long white sandy beaches are within a 5 minute drive as too are local shops and restaurants. The cliff path is in easy walking distance; breathe in clean “Champagne” air while your eyes feast on wide seas, crashing waves, craggy cliffs and majestic whales (May to November), sometimes coming so close to the shore you can practically touch them. Cultural delights entice with plenty of art galleries and the famous most southerly wine route within easy reach.
Guests should emerge relaxed and refreshed from a stay in this lovely holiday escape!
