The delightful restaurants, such as Ficks and Heritage Restaurant, add a culinary charm to this already picturesque location, and the New Harbour, where the maritime charm meets contemporary infrastructure, is home to the famous Rock Restaurant, the Breakfast Room and Gecko Bar, along with Quayside Cabin on the lower slip-way.  It's a small bustling harbour which serves as a hub for various fishing activities, boat trips, and marine excursions. It's an excellent spot to experience the authentic fishing culture of Hermanus and witness fishermen bringing in their fresh catches.
